Youth Section of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH-Youth), Youth Section of The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia, Women Section of Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall, and another 11 states of youth sections of Chinese Assembly Halls were jointly organized the Undirabu free transportation project during the General Election 14.
RM 201,564 was successfully raised throughout the project, consist of 1,008 donors. There was a total of 1,300 voters from East and West Malaysia benefited from the Undirabu project through free buses and subsidized air tickets.
The total expenditure of the Undirabu project was RM 185,580, of which the main costs went to 28 return-trip buses to the public, 9 return-trip buses to the undergraduate, subsidized air tickets to East Malaysia voters and inland transportation to Penan voters.
The balance is approximately RM 16,000 after deducting all expenses. KLSCAH-Youth had emailed the detailed financial report to all the donors.
Regarding the balance of the project, it was decided to keep the balance for the use in the next Sarawak election which will be held within 3 years after the discussion by the 15th KLSCAH-Youth committee. The remaining balance will be utilized to subsidy air tickets which also upholds the original initiative of this Undirabu project.
We hope that by doing this will encourage more voters especially the younger generation to fulfil their civil responsibilities and raise their political awareness, and participate in the democratic process of the country.
During this period, the balance of the fund will be temporarily custodied by KLSCAH-Youth. Please contact us at [email protected] if there is enquiry about the donation
